Submission instructions (short papers)  closed

Short paper submission should present initial results or on-going work in any of the BSB’18 topics of interest. Short papers submitted to BSB’18 must not have been simultaneously submitted to any other forum (conference or journal), nor should they have already been published elsewhere. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will register for the symposium to present it. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on originality, relevance, technical soundness and clarity of presentation.

Short papers should be up to 6 pages, written in English or in Portuguese. All papers must be submitted in PDF format and formatted according to the SBC template. The template for submission is available at SBC. Papers must be submitted by the deadline through JEMS website at submission system. We will award the best short paper of BSB’18.

Submission instructions (full papers)   closed

The submissions should contain original, high quality, not submitted or published elsewhere work. Manuscripts must be written in english and include an abstract. The format to be used is “Lecture Notes in Computer Science” (LNCS). All the explanations and necessary files for this format (in Latex or Word) can be found at Instructions for Authors. We strongly recommend all prospective authors to download the necessary files from this site as they prepare their submissions; old versions of the LNCS style files could cause problems in the upload of the camera-ready paper.BSB will accept full papers (from 8 to 12 pages in length), and short papers (from 4 to 6 pages in length) to be presented only as posters. The template for full papers manuscript preparation is the LNCS format. Short papers will follow a distinct template, agenda and submission system.

Manuscripts that deviate significantly from these guidelines may risk rejection without consideration of scientific merit.

Manuscript Submission (full papers)

Submission will be electronic through the meeting submission system.

You may also like to download the LaTeX and Word templates directly.

All submitted papers will be reviewed by at least three experts in the field.

Submission Policy

By submitting a full paper to BSB 2018, the authors agree that in case of acceptance at least one author registers to the conference and presents the paper. Furthermore, it is the conference policy that at least one of the authors of accepted full paper needs to be registered for the meeting.

Publication

All accepted *full papers* will be included in the proceedings that, as in the past BSB editions, should be published by the Springer Verlag in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNCS/LNBI).
